NBO BI-ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2018 - CLOSING REMARKS

30-31 august 2018 at Scandic Hasselbacken, Stockholm,

Hosts HSB

Two days of inspiration and discussions of the big challenges connected to the nordic housing market, city development and insights to some of the sustainable solutions.

A debate that touched upon how we increase accessibility, how we create more youth accommodation, and how elderly can live in a way that fit their needs. How we reduce our energy consumption so that we can live and act more ressource efficiently and not least what role the Nordic cooperative and social housing sector can play in a sustainable future.

With the new bi-annual report The State of Housing in the Nordic Countries 2018 we took a closer look at the current trends dominating the Nordic housing market – what challenges are the Nordic countries going to face and how can NBO-menbers be a part of the solution.

With the Award Bostadsprisen we celebrated our common Vision of economically, socially and environmentally sustainable housing for all people, and we celebrated the housing organizations’ for their fine contributions to the UN Global Goals.

The renovation of Langkærparken is a model example of how a holistic social approach and ambitious climate goals can enrich a residential area - both through the architecture, the technical solutions and during the construction process itself.
